I love the thought of starting a new year off and setting goals for myself and my family. I try not to have "resolutions" but instead goals that I can aim to reach. It's hard to believe that 2018 has come to an end and the older I get the more I find myself saying that days go slow and years go fast. To me, 2018 flew by! It's been a great year with a lot of changes but good changes. We sold our house of a decade and relocated to Sandersville. With the relocation the boys will be going to my Alma mater next year and I am so excited about that. We're in the middle of a major remodel in our new house, the house my Nana and Papa called home for 20 years. It's amazing to see the transformation and I know my grandparents are smiling down as Nana says, "I tooold you so" to Meme. As I approach 2019 I have a few goals and I hope each of you will set goals for yourself! 1.) Learn how to make every moment and learning and/or teaching moment for myself and my boys. 2.) Turn the Queen of Bags Initiative into a 501(c) non-profit organization and begin applying for Grants to help me. 3.) Continue to work with my elected officials on ways to make adoption and fostering to adopt more financially friendly for all potential families who lovingly want to give a child a good home. 4.) Be a healthier person and drive my family to do the same. The typical new year resolution but no matter how healthy you are it's always good to strive for more! 5.) Learn to be a more Godly wife and mother and to lead by example. I've continually learned over the years that I would rather people not be my friend than force me to feel like I have to act or be a certain way to be good enough or included. I want to continue to show my children that friendship is a two way street and if they cannot love you for who you are and what you stand for then the friendship will never last. 6.) I want to grow the Queen of Bags and have others become a part of it across the State/U.S. By raising awareness and having others work in their area to fund raise for bags the initiative will grown and thrive!
